1. Problem Definition

The company has gone through bad experiences in performing some of the critical projects because of contractors. One of the main reasons behind these fails is the contractor. Either the contractors delay the work or go ahead of schedule there’s neither penalty nor advantages. Now the company is about to release a new project for a DSC system (software) for a new petrochemical plant. The DCS system (Distributed Control System) has to ready and running up once the plant is established and start. No delay is acceptable and an early finish is much much much preferred. Target is 180 days.

The IT department tasks have been increased majorly in the last years with slight increasing in the number of employees. With this situation the IT employees’ responsibilities assignment were random creating un-clear tasks and overlapping in day to day tasks.

IT manager has decided to use business process diagram responsibility (RASCI-BPMN) by mixing together RACSI with BPMN. In the previous post, W5, RACI matrix was used.

W1_Hani_Tuckman Assessment


1. Problem Definition

Takatuf have introduced a program for project management development and invited 25 participants from 9 different companies. The program started with 5 face to face training, in which the 25 participants “ Takatuf PMI 2014” Team had to work together as a team to deliver certain deliverables.

The first assignment is to apply Dr. Bruce Tukman theory of group development, to the newly formed “ Takatuf PMI 2014”  team to see where they fall in the different stages.
